The Road to Portugal is a 15 day Spain and Portugal motorcycle tour carefully planned so that you discover the charm of Andalucia, explore the beautiful Algarve, visit amazing landmarks in Lisbon Sintra, Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Not to forget amazing stops along the way Alentejo, Ronda, the White Towns, Aracena and many more gems we have on this Spain and Portugal motorcycle tour. All while staying in amazing accomodation and discovering Andalusian and Portuguese cuisine.
This tour has a wide mix of roads to look forward to, both coastal roads of the Mediterranean and Atlantic, curves and twisties in the Sierra of Grazalema and Sierra Nevada Mountain ranges on perfect asphalt, mountain passes and much more.

We’ll meet you at Málaga airport and take you to the hotel. You will have some free time to visit the city or enjoy the hotel pool. In the evening we will introduce you to the other riders and go for a meal and discuss the Spain to Portugl motorcycle tour.
We start the day heading west into the mountains before dropping down through Mijas to the coastal roads of the Mediterranean for a quick stop to look at some very expensive yachts in Marbella. Once we get back on our bikes we will make our way up the famous A-397 riding bend after bend on perfect mountain roads along with the spectacular views will hit home that you are living the motorcyclists dream, the road will come to an end when we see the spectacular town of Ronda, our stop for the night.

Today you’ll say goodbye to Ronda and emerge into an intense section of the Grazalema Mountains, crossing over the most impressive mountain passes in the entire range, visiting many of the white towns along the route. The roads smoothen through pleasant countryside landscapes and large plains before crossing the Gudalquivir river as we approach the magical Andalusian capital Seville and all of its art and beauty.
Today is a rest day perfect for taking in the city of Seville and its impressive Gothic cathedral, countless small churches, interesting neighborhoods full of narrow streets, Flamenco music, tapas bars etc. 
Today we have a long road ahead as we cross the border into Portugal making our way to the pretties beaches in the Algarve, tasting the amazing cuisine of Portugal. As we ride our bikes we will have the smell of the Atlantic Ocean.
Today is all about exploring the beauty of the Algarve from one East to West, this coastline has the most spectacular sights and you will have many opportunities for photos and even a dip in the Atlantic Ocean.

After a delicious breakfast we say good bye to the Algarve and make the long road north up by the Atlantic Ocean crossing over the river Tagus suspension to the Capital city of Lisbon.

As we wake up in the beautiful capital we have a day to really explore Lisbon and Sintra. We will visit the National Pena Palace in Sintra, take a tram through the town and head up to Lisbon Castle.

We couldn’t leave Lisbon with out crossing over the longest bridge in Europe. The Vasco da Gama Bridge will be our path into mainly land Portugal as we head into the Alentejo region. Far from the coast we will get to indulge into traditional Portuguese cuisine and get to enjoy some fabulous wine from this region.

After a great breakfast we will make our way east saying fairwell to Portugal riding back over the border into Spain. The road ahead is exciting as we head into the Sierra de Aracena where you can visit the colorful mines of Riotinto or taste the very best Spanish Iberian Ham, the Jamón de Jabugo.

After a night in the sierra de Aracena we head over the Sierra Norte to the majestic spectacle of the infinit olive trees in perfect formation will display as a carpet on most of Andalusia´s soil. Cordoba awaits bathed by the Guadalquivir River and with its charming atmosphere full of life. We will be able to visit its narrow streets all the way to the Mezquita.

Leaving the Cordoba we make our way across the beautiful countryside before we climb into the imposing Sierra Nevadas past ski areas on the highest paved highway in Spain. Awaiting you are the steep, narrow streets of Granada, its historic center, the Albayzín and the unequaled beauty of the Alhambra Palace. Once we reach the hotel you can relax having a dip in hotel pool.

Today you have time to visit Granada and all its narrow streets, its historic center, the Albayzín and the unequaled beauty of the Alhambra Palace.

After a days rest in the old mourish capital of Granada we head across the mountains back into Málaga were we will take you along some spectacular roads past lakes, though forest before hitting the coast and returning our bikes. Your guides will take you out for a special celebration meal to discuss the highlights of the trip and say goodbye to your riding companions. Until next time.
Today you will say your goodbyes to the guides and the other tour members (now your new friends) as you make your way to the airport to fly home. We’ll see you again on our next motorcycle adventure together!

Although we take many pictures and videos along the route, you may want to capture moments of the trip from your own perspective, we offer gopro action camera so that you can document the trip.
Please note that the GoPro unit is not covered by the motorcycle insurance.

Your motorcycle can be equipped with a GPS navigation system. Please note that the GPS unit is not covered by the motorcycle insurance. Cost: 10€ per day.
Regular Insurance: Comprehensive insurance with a 2.000€ deductible; Cost included in tour.
VIP Insurance: Comprehensive insurance with a 350€ deductible; Cost: 20€ per day.
Adventura Motorcycle Tours Trip Cancellation or Interruption Insurance
Adventura Motorcycle Tours (AMT) offers trip cancellation or interruption insurance. Customers who select this option can receive a refund of tour fees when a customer or traveling companion must cancel or interrupt the trip for reasons covered by the insurance.
It does not cover expenses not paid to AMT, such as airfare, or expenses incurred prior to or after the tour, such as pre- payment of extra hotel nights booked as a courtesy by AMT.
This insurance can only be purchased at the time of the tour booking. AMT will not accept a request to purchase the protection option after the tour has been booked. Your passenger or roommate will be considered your designated traveling companion. If you are in a single room you may designate a traveling companion prior to the start of the tour.
The cost of this protection is 380€ for rider and 270€ por pillion passenger.
