Picos Express packs the best riding of northern Spain into a long weekend: 4 days, 3 riding days and around 900 km of mountain roads from Bilbao to the Picos de Europa and back.
It uses the same routes as our flagship tour, The Great North: the Asón valley, the source of the Ebro and the Picos triangle through Cangas de Onís, Riaño and Potes. Every route is planned to avoid motorways and tolls and stick to the best riding roads.
You stay two nights in high-end hotels or Paradores right under the Picos peaks, ride a BMW GS with unlimited mileage, and follow our digital route guide with daily GPS routes.

Welcome to Bilbao. We meet you at your hotel for a meet and greet, hand over your BMW and run through the tour, the digital route guide and the bike. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city. Overnight in Bilbao.
About 6 h 15 min of riding. Head west into the mountains past the viewpoint over the source of the río Asón, the caves of the Monumento Natural de Ojo Guareña and the source of the río Ebro. The Balcón de la Cardosa and the Mirador Asomada del Ribero open up the first big views before you arrive at Fuente Dé, at the foot of the Picos de Europa.
About 6 hours on one of Europe’s great motorcycle loops. Ride north through Potes and Panes to Cangas de Onís, then climb the Puerto del Pontón to the reservoir at Riaño and return over the Puerto de San Glorio to Potes and Fuente Dé for a second night beneath the peaks.
About 5 h 20 min of riding with four great viewpoints: Mirador La Piquera, Mirador Asomada del Ribero, Mirador de Vega de Pas and the Mirador del Puerto de Orduña, before dropping your bike back in Bilbao. End of the tour.
Three full riding days of mountain passes and twisty back roads, with no motorways or tolls. Ideal as a first tour with Adventura or a long weekend escape, and suitable for riders comfortable with 250 to 310 km a day.
